7 Smart Phone Apps That Need to Be Invented

Disclaimer: this post is full of first-world problems.

1. Teleportation App- Isn’t it about time?

2. All Inclusive Social Media Update App (hoot suite on steroids)- If you have multiple social networking accounts, wouldn’t you love an app that can update all of them? Not just Fb & Tw, but Fb (pages and personal profiles), Twitter, google+, LinkedIn, & Pinterest too? To this one also I’d like to say; isn’t it about time?

3. Better Fitness app- It’s basic math. If you burn 500 extra calories a day in one week you will have lost 1 pound. I’d like an app that tracks everything I do all day, not just my work outs, and calculates how many calories I’ve burned just by breathing. It doesn’t especially help me lose weight, but I’ve always wondered; and some days are just more active than others.

4. Iron Chef App- The thing I hate about recipes is they always require an extra trip to the grocery store. (Who has arugula laying around the kitchen anyway?) An app that  can inventory the ingredients already in the pantry and tell me things I can do with those ingredients. Ok, so maybe basics can be a given. Maybe you don’t have to include milk, eggs, flour, salt, etc every time, it could assume you have those things, but come on...I don’t want to run to the store to get the zest of lemon to complete my meal.

5. Heart Monitor App- What would the world be like if the iphone carried around all day would let those with preexisting conditions know when their body was failing? example; grandpa mowing the lawn & his heart rate goes up a bit. A tiny beep from his phone would let him know he needs to seek medical attention within the hour. I can only guess how many lives this would save.

6. You Could Get Murdered App- How about an app that lets me know where seedy districts of unfamiliar cities are?

7. Airport Navigation App- If you’ve been to O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, this app is self explanatory.
